CULTURES, NATIONS, FLAVORS...
MEDITERRANEAN IS A CROSSROAD.

The Mediterranean is home to various cultures, nations, and flavors. From Lebanon to Anatolia, the Aegean Sea to Greece, a plethora of spices and vegetables come together as every culture inspires each other. As Zeugma, we feel each culture within ourselves. Like a mosaic, we are made from numerous pieces which are combined in perfect harmony.

Anatolia, which has been the bridge between the Middle East, Aegean, and Europe for millennia and acted as the home to the cultures of countless tribes and states that passed by, is now our menus source of inspiration. We modernize ancient dishes using new recipes and unite east with west, and traditional with modern.

MEET OUR CHEF, CAN ALP

Executive Chef and Owner Can Alp of Zeugma Mediterranean Grill transitions effortlessly between western and eastern influences. Born in Mardin, Turkey, Alp studied Gastronomy + Culinary Arts at Beykent University in Istanbul and interned in Paris for nine months before arriving in New York four years ago. Prior restaurant affiliations include Changa (Istanbul) and Rainbow Room (NYC). "My cooking style has been described as contemporary Mediterranean and European fusion," notes Alp. "I strive to express creativity and passion for different cuisines in everything we put on the menu, in addition to sourcing all-natural, organic and local ingredients whenever possible.
